After an initial cult following, the popularity of the film Anchorman has grown and grown. Full of one liners, great characters and a host of stars including Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and a number of cameo appearances, Anchorman is one of my personal favourite comedy films of all time.

The original film came out in 2004, and rumours have been circulating around for a while that the cast were in talks about making a sequel. Not only because the film would potentially be a huge hit, but because they had such fun together making it (as can clearly be seen from the out takes and blooper reels!). So finally, the making of the sequel has finally been confirmed, and in a very unconventional way!

Will Ferrell appears on the Conan show on TBS in character as Will Ferrell playing the Jazz Flute. I don’t want to spoil too much of what happens, but needless to say it’s very funny. My favourite quote coming from Ron as he tries to give Conan some advice. He says:

“Conan, you look… awful. You look like someone put a bright red fright wig on a skeleton, and then threw it out of a helicopter.”

If this is indicative of the new material for Anchorman 2, I can’t wait!

A lot of us have seen the internet viral video of 2 girls one cup, if you’ve not, then well you’re not missing out on much as it pretty sick. You can read about it here.

A short out take from a newer episode of Family Guys shows when Brian needs help from Stewie, but he refuses to help because Brian made him watch the video for 2 girls 1 cup. Stewie’s reaction to the video is how I imagine most peoples reaction to be when watching the viral sensation.

Stupid kids + playground equipment + video camera = Stupidity! Amusing nonetheless.

This video features Mike and Marcus, a couple of guys that like filming themselves doing crazy things in an amateur Jackass style. Their previous videos include an “insane snowboard backflip over a fence FAIL” which again features Marcus. In this video they are filming in a children’s playground, and Marcus is on some form of spinning playground equipment that I haven’t seen before but looks quite fun! He starts spinning and gains some really fast speed and momentum until he is properly flying! He then finally jumps off and lands on to the playground safety surface where he inevitably pukes from getting some serious nausea. I really hope that they cleared up after this video, as it looks like a really nice playground – I wouldn’t want my child playing in that!

Thankfully it is raining which may help, but that also creates a weird crackling noise on the video audio. Thankfully, it is all subtitled so you can still hear what they are saying. Playgrounds can definitely be great fun, but I think this definitely counts as misuse! Enjoy.

This video was suggested by Jordan at L&J workwear in Macclesfield, and is a short four and half minute clip taken from the Ellen show. In the video, David Beckham is undercover as a cologne salesman in a department store in America in a hidden camera scenario. Hiding under work clothes, a large pair of glasses and a baseball cap, he also has a hidden ear piece where he has to take instructions from Ellen in the studio.

As well as having to dictate requests by Ellen, he has to do a number of strange things including spraying the cologne on his leg and getting people to sniff it. One of my favourite parts is when Ellen tells David to say that the cologne has a “very rustic scent”, and he translates this as “it has a very rough expense”.

When asked by one of the customers where his accent is from, he tells them he is from Australia. Ellen then tells him to say “I can also speak in a Texan accent, partner” which he says in his normal British accent with some embarrassment.

Although one of the customers catches on, it’s a pretty fun concept considering how big David Beckham was in America at the time. Especially as a few customers ignore him straight away, and he’s left shouting after them when normally he would be running from crowds of people. Enjoy!

Here we have it, The Avengers Trailer #2.

This is shaping up to be the best film of 2012 for me. If you don’t know what this is about its a gathering of all of the Marvel Comic heroes that you can think of, crammed into one action packed film.

The story line is based around Nick Fury and the international agency S.H.I.E.L.D bringing together a team of super humans to form The Avengers to help save the Earth from Loki & his various membered army.

The film is set to be realised on the 27th April 2012 (UK), so get that date freed up so you can watch this masterpiece.

Not only did this bungee cord snap on an Aussie student, but what she landed in a river infested with crocodiles! Blimey! (in a poor Australian accent).

Erin jumped from Victoria Falls Bridge which is approx 110m above a Zimbabwe river, this river is reportedly infested with crocodiles and dangerous rapids. Not only did the cord snap on this girl, but she was then pulled along by the rapids on the river. She then got the remaining bungee cord that was still attached to her leg caught on some rocks and got pulled under the water for a few seconds. Whilst friends of the girl screamed her name from the bridge there was little anybody could of done. Thankfully she was able to free her legs from the remaining bungee cord and swim to some rocks.

I’ve never particularly wanted to do something like this for this very reason, and after watching this I think I defiantly will not be doing anything like this in the future. I think I’ll stick to Web Design thanks.

A very simple but funny prank by the pilot here… Can hear the panic in the camera operator’s voice, and the prankster can only be forgiven by his huge grin when he “comes round” at the end.

So as it’s now just 2 days until Christmas, we thought we’d add another funny Christmas video to get everyone in the festive spirit. We found a great Buddy the Elf funniest moments compilation, with some of the best scenes from the film with Will Ferrell. Unfortunately, the Buddy the Elf funniest moments video has been taken off YouTube as it violates copyright laws, so we’ve had to replace it with the original trailer released in the UK back in 2003.

The Elf trailer still shows some great moments from the film though, and anyone that has seen it will instantly know and remember the jokes from the film. Some of my favourites include the “Saaaaannnntaaaaaa” scene, the loud burp, the snowball fight, and of course the drop kick from the pint sized “Miles Finch” when Will Ferrell refers to him as an Elf.

Merry Xmas everyone!

I know, I know. Another trailer! This is now the third trailer in as many days after not adding any in over a year, however this is a highly sought after film trailer and one that was only release last night. Fans of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the original book “The Hobbit” have been waiting for this with great anticipation, so, here it is! A 2 minute and 31 second HD trailer of the The Hobbit (2012).

So what are my thoughts? Personally, I think it looks “bobbins”. **gasps** I appreciate that I might be in the minority here, but I found the Lord of the Rings trilogy quite arduous at times, being more something that needed to be endured as opposed to enjoyed just so that you could say you had seen it. It certainly isn’t something I would want to watch again in a hurry. I know that I’m going to get a lot of grief for all this, but it’s simply my own opinion.

The cast however looks pretty epic before, including some familiar faces such as Sir Ian McKellen, Orlando Bloom, Hugo Weaving etc as well as some new faces including Martin Freeman and Stephen Fry. The special effects look pretty stunning too as with all the previous Lord of the Ring films, and I’m guessing a lot of people are going to be very happy and excited when they see this trailer. Although, they still have a bit of time to wait as it isn’t due for release until the 14th December 2012!

I just saw this on Facebook today and thought it was both cute and funny! The video stars a black cat called Stewie soothing baby Connar to sleep by patting him gently on the head. Baby Connar seems to quite enjoy this and he goes from giving out irritable little cries to slowly falling off to sleep with a big smile on his face. The cutest bit is definitely right at the end of the video.

Having an 11 month old baby myself, I would pay good money for a cat like this that could look after the baby and soothe him to sleep while we make up a bottle of milk! Although I have to say, I’m reluctant to show this video to my wife for several reasons:

1. It would remind her how much she likes cats
2. It would remind her how much she likes babies

I’m happy with 1 baby and no pets for now, so I think I may keep this one on the down low… enjoy!
