I have to admit, I really didn’t that this was possible. I thought it was something that only ever happened in computer games, TV shows and movies. But in this MMA fight, it ends spectacularly with a double KO (knock out). Because the protective gloves the fighters wear in MMA are so light (around 4 oz – just enough to protect the fist) it’s almost like a bare knuckle fight, and you don’t have to hit as hard to get a KO (when compared to i.e. boxing where you will be wearing maybe 8 oz – 12 oz gloves).

What made me laugh the most watching this clip was the referee. He has absolutely no idea what is going on! The commentators, including Bas Rutten (an MMA god) both burst out laughing when the KO happens. It seems a little unsporting given the nature of the video, but then again, who can blame them?
