This is a very funny video in the form of an advert for Old Spice! I remember when I was a kid, that my dad had bottles of this stuff in his garage because he didn’t want to offend my great gran when she bought some for him for christmas. Because he told her he liked it he always got some from her every year! Although way too strong to wear out in public, he kept it because it worked very well as a substitute for WD40 as and when required! I remember sneakily spraying some on my face one day to try it out, and for all intensive purposes I may as well had just have sprayed strongly scented sulphuric acid into my face! Oh my eyes!!! They still wince now, even as a distant memory.
This advert though is so good, I’m actually considering trying it again! The video is directed at the ladies, and features a man – a man that your man could smell like. In the video he tells the ladies to look at him, then look at your man, then look at him. The scene changes seamlessly from a bathroom, to a boat and finally to a beach as he shows the women what kind of man he is because he uses old spice.
The quote from the producers of the video is:
“We’re not saying this body wash will make your man smell into a romantic millionaire jet fighter pilot, but we are insinuating it.”
Excellent. I also like the fact that his final line in the advert is “I’m on a horse”.
