These kind of TV shows are designed to show just exactly what people will do for money. In fact, this very funny video clip ends with the line “everyone has their price” which in this guys opinion is quite low for what happens. A TV presenter approaches an unsuspecting victim in the street and asks him to drink IPECAC for $200 and puke on the sidewalk. For those that don’t know, IPECAC is a vomit inducing drink that is normally administered to patients that have consumed some sort of poision that they need to quickly get out of their system, and for this you would take about 1-2 teaspoons. The victim aka “Lance” is unsure, seemingly having never heard of IPECAC before (well who has!?) but when the presenter increases the amount to $500, Lance decides to glug an equal amount to about a third of coke bottle (probably around 200ml).
At first nothing happens, and it looks like Lance has a cast iron stomach – however, he then starts vomiting uncontrollably! The sidewalk is absolutely covered in vomit – it’s quite disgusting. Finally, once it all seems to be out of his system, the presenter then offers to raise the amount to $1,000 if he licks some of it up off the sidewalk… which… shamefully… he does! Everyone has their price!
